We are honored to announce that this past week, Public Safety Director Blaine Leis and Assistant Chief / Safety Officer Bill Jenaway were invited to attend the annual IAFC / VCOS Conference in Clearwater Beach. While there we were awarded the VFIS Recruitment and Retention Award on behalf of the Upper Merion Township Public Safety Department.

This award was given to our team for the hard work of all of the members in the department including the volunteers, stipend members and career staff who tirelessly respond to calls, training and administrative duties along with recruitment and retention efforts each and every day.

In addition, we were privileged to witness the annual William F Jenaway Safety award that was presented to the Cranberry Fire Department. This award is named after our very own William F Jenaway who has spent his entire career working to ensure all FIRE and EMS agencies operate in the safest way possible.

We would like to thank VFIS Regional Vice President Joe Giorgi and the entire VFIS team for this award and recognizing our team for the hard work they do.
